Academic support is designed to strengthen foundational skill, build confidence, and support how each child learns-- through individualized instruction, NILD Educational Therapy, and targeted support for learning with dyslexia and other learning differences.
Academic support is grounded in NILD Educational Therapy, a structured, research-informed approach designed to strengthen cognitive processing, language, and independent learning.
Instruction incorporates principles aligned with the International Dyslexia Association, including explicit systematic, and multi-sensory teaching to support learners with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
Support is individualized, intentional, and designed to build not only academic skills, but also confidence, reasoning, and the ability to approach learning with greater independence.
“The focus of educational therapy is to develop the student as an independent learner” — National Institute for Learning Development (NILD)
NILD Educational Therapy
NILD Educational Therapy focuses on developing underlying cognitive processes such as attention, memory, language, and reasoning. Through medicated learning and structured task, students are guided to think, reflect, and problem-solve-building the foundation for independent learning.
Dyslexia & Structured Literacy Support
Instruction follows structured literacy principles, including explicit, systematic, and cumulative teaching of reading and spelling. Lessons are mullti-sensory and responsive, supporting learners in developing accurate and fluent reading while strengthening language comprehension.
Neurodivergent Learning Support
Support is designed to align with how each learner processes, engages, and responds to information. Instruction is flexible, responsive, and built around strengths--while also supporting areas of challenge such as attention, regulation, and executive functioning.
Executive Functioning Support
Instruction targets organization, planning, task initiation, and follow-through, helping students build independence and confidence in managing their work
Academic Tutoring (Therpapeutic Lens)
Academic support includes individualized instruction in reading, writing, and foundational skills--focused on understanding and long-term learning rather than task completion.
Learning should not feel overwhelming or discouraging. Support is designed to reduce frustration, build confidence, and create meaningful learning experiences that feel achievable and encouraging.
Instruction is intentional, paced, and responsive--allowing learners to build skills in a way that supports both understanding and independence.
Support is designed to be flexible, individualized and responsive to each learner's needs. Services may include one-to-to educational therapy, small group instruction, and targeted academic support, all delivered with intentional pacing and structure. Sessions focus on building underlying cognitive and language skills while also supporting academic growth, allowing learners to develop confidence, independence, and meaningful progress over time.

This approach is designed for learners who benefit from individualized, structured support that goes beyond traditional tutoring. It is especially appropriate for students with dyslexia, language-based learning differences, or neurodivergent profiles who many need support with processing, attention, and academic confidence. Families seeking a more thoughtful, responsive approach to learning often find this model to be a better fit for their child's long-term success.
